Loading the player... Sandy creates special acorns using science to create “saltwater trees,” which are trees that can grow underwater, with various Bikini Bottomites like Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs and Mrs. Puff getting theirs. Eventually, the trees start talking and making rude, “salty” remarks and eventually run loose around Bikini Bottom.

On a slow day at the Krusty Krab, Squidward refuses to work. Mr. Krabs comes up with a story about a yeti crab that eats lazy employees. When a real yeti crab shows up, Squidward believes it is Mr. Krabs in disguise, and SpongeBob tries working twice as hard to make up for Squidward’s laziness.

Mr. Krabs wants to save five cents, so he has SpongeBob fired from his job. SpongeBob falls into a depression, and despite encouragement from Patrick, finds that he does not enjoy being unemployed. He takes his talents to multiple other restaurants, making Krabby Patty-style food that turns out to be delicious.

SpongeBob babysits Sandy’s nieces, Macadamia, Hazelnut, and Pistachio, and takes them around Bikini Bottom.

Big Pink Loser: Patrick feels like he hasn’t accomplished anything with his life and he decides to take SpongeBob on as his role model.
