After witnessing Larry rescuing Gary from a tree, SpongeBob decides that he wants to be a firefighter. SpongeBob, along with Patrick and Squidward who eventually join in, are trained by Larry to become volunteer firefighters, as they follow the instructions in their own comical ways.
