On Bikini Bottom News, Perch Perkins receives a report that he has been fired and replaced with a news reporting robot, Newsbot 2000. Under SpongeBob’s suggestion, Perch gets jobs at Barg-N-Mart and the Krusty Krab, in which he gets fired from both because he interviewed the customers instead of serving them. SpongeBob begs BBTV to rehire Perch, which results in a “news-off” between him and Newsbot 2000.
