Plankton is always getting stepped on, so he has to find a way to defend himself from the steppers. Plankton creates a laser device in his lab which seem to work at first, until he encounters Sandy who sees how dangerous his laser is. Plankton, wanting to learn more, gets taught self-defense lessons from Sandy.
